I started to build my Tribute to Alan Clack today. I know that you are watching over me, but still feel the need to tell you what I'm doing and thinking. Everyone tells me that the 1st anniversary of things is the worst. Cannot bear the thought of being with people for your 55th birhday, plan to spend it somewhere far away. Went to Seahouses, Northumberland to say Happy Birthday to you, my love. On Saturday 12th December 2009 I stood on a hill overlooking Bamburgh Castle and the sea and send you my thoughts tied to an ivory balloon. The balloon flew back over the hill towards Seahouses, miss you so much. Put up the Christmas tree, as I know how much you love it, the lights stayed on all night and as usual brought a new decoration but also took the angel off the top and replaced it with a beautiful Father Christmas (from Bamburgh)and told the grandchildren it was you watching them opening thier presents. They all spent Boxing day here, playing on the Wii we bought them. They talked about you all day and laughed as they recalled all the times you had told them that you were "the South East London Champion" at every sport going. As you had planned I went to Spain for the New Year with Pauline, Steve, Sandra and Mark and we all raised a glass to you. Met up with Julie & Barry who now live close to the sisters house in Spain.
